Last week I pretty much covered most of the bands I love. Then I posted it and was like OMG I forgot some! So, I just decided to make a part 2! Even then I'm sure I still haven't covered them all! There are just too many awesome bands!
The Band Perry
Yes, I know they are more country, but look its The "Band" Perry! I'm not the biggest country fan, but I absolutely love their music. It is cute and sweet! Their one song always makes me laugh it's called 'Quittin' You', it reminds me of that band-aid commercial. I don't know, I'm just weird like that!
Their music is so soothing. I have a whole playlist I like to call 'sleepy music', it has almost everyone from my FF: Singers list, some Ingrid Michaelson, Parachute, Yael Naim, and Coldplay of course! And have you seen their new music video with Chris Martin dressed as an elephant! :D
Ever since 'Over my Head (Cable Car)' I've loved them. I love his voice it is just so peaceful. Their self-titled album was my favorite. And they did a cover of Kanye West's 'Heartless' which I loved more than the original.
Hot Chelle Rae
Ryan Follese is major cuteness. Oh and they make good music. No, but seriously they do! It's always fun and cute! They make me smile.
One of my favorite bands EVER! My favorite song of all time is 'Drive' and after I heard that I went and listened to all their other music. Sometimes I feel like they write just for me! 'Oil and Water', 'Dig', 'Make Yourself', 'Nice to Know You', 'Love Hurts', man I could go on and on. If you haven't really listened to them, do it! Now! I just <3 them!
Red Hot Chili Peppers
I remember their music being on while I would listen to Britney and NSync. That was right around the time 'Californiacation' came out and I was kind of like, 'what is this?'. But then I was like, 'it's complete awesomeness'! They are so funny! Years later they are still just as awesome!
I was a fan even before, but the soundtrack to A Walk to Remember. I was like, 'I like this song, and this song, and this song' and it was most of their songs! Their lyrics are just wonderful, and the fact that they are all born-again Christians. They are just amazing! :)
Who are your favorite bands?
Anyone I should be listening to?

One of my major obsessions is having a birfday in a couple days and awesome Buzzneters have been celebrating all week! I thought I'd make a compilation of my favorite 'Hey Girl' photos to join the fun. Never heard of them? Well, you've been missing out. Let's get started!
It only gets better:
What is your favorite 'Hey Girl'?
Care to make one of your own? Yes, I want to see what you come up with!
This year I was looking forward to watching the Oscars because Eddie Murphy had been announced as the host, but now it seems he has stepped down from his duties. Especially following last years failed hosting duties, well as most people say, I on the other hand enjoyed getting to stare at James Franco for a couple hours. Anyway, award shows are always more enjoyable with a comedian hosting. And the Oscars? Aka the most boring award show of all, comedian should be a requirement. Plus, it had been years since anyone has seen Eddie Murphy in anything. I was really looking forward to him hosting. So, what happened?
Brett Ratner, the director of the Eddie Murphy starring movie Tower Heist, has been in caught in some fire after some remarks he made. Not only did he say some very unnessary comments about his relationship with comedian Olivia Munn, but he also made a horrible comment, 'rehearsal is for f*gs.' This led him to step down as the producer for the Academy Awards. I think that is the smartest thing he has done in the past few weeks. Here is the statement he released:
Over the last few days, I’ve gotten a well-deserved earful from many of the people I admire most in this industry expressing their outrage and disappointment over the hurtful and stupid things I said in a number of recent media appearances. To them, and to everyone I’ve hurt and offended, I’d like to apologize publicly and unreservedly.
As difficult as the last few days have been for me, they cannot compare to the experience of any young man or woman who has been the target of offensive slurs or derogatory comments. And they pale in comparison to what any gay, lesbian, or transgender individual must deal with as they confront the many inequalities that continue to plague our world.
So many artists and craftspeople in our business are members of the LGBT community, and it pains me deeply that I may have hurt them. I should have known this all along, but at least I know it now: words do matter. Having love in your heart doesn’t count for much if what comes out of your mouth is ugly and bigoted. With this in mind, and to all those who understandably feel that apologies are not enough, please know that I will be taking real action over the coming weeks and months in an effort to do everything I can both professionally and personally to help stamp out the kind of thoughtless bigotry I’ve so foolishly perpetuated.
As a first step, I called Tom Sherak this morning and resigned as a producer of the 84th Academy Awards telecast. Being asked to help put on the Oscar show was the proudest moment of my career. But as painful as this may be for me, it would be worse if my association with the show were to be a distraction from the Academy and the high ideals it represents.
I am grateful to GLAAD for engaging me in a dialogue about what we can do together to increase awareness of the important and troubling issues this episode has raised and I look forward to working with them. I am incredibly lucky to have a career in this business that I love with all of my heart and to be able to work alongside so many of my heroes. I deeply regret my actions and I am determined to learn from this experience.
Sincerely, Brett Ratner
Ratner was the one who got Murphy on board. It seems that he has just followed behind Ratner because the statement he made was very vague. Here it is:
"First and foremost I want to say that I completely understand and support each party’s decision with regard to a change of producers for this year’s Academy Awards ceremony. I was truly looking forward to being a part of the show that our production team and writers were just starting to develop, but I’m sure that the new production team and host will do an equally great job."

Remember my blog Friday Favorites: Young Actresses where I mentioned I loved her? Well, my love for her kind of just grows by the minute. I have come to the conclusion that I want to be her. Not only is she freaking adorable and hilarious, but she has gotten to date and pretend to date one too many of my obsessions. She used to date Teddy Geiger, I was obsessed with him and his blue eyes. Now she's dating Andrew Garfield on and off screen(Spiderman) and pretended to date Jesse Eisenberg(Zombieland), umm Social Network anyone? Crazy, Stupid, Love and Gangster Squad, do I even need to say who? Okay, I will, because I will never get tired of talking about my lover Ryan Gosling. *sigh* So, Emma Stone in 23 years of living, you have lived much more than me and much better than me. I would do just about anything to be in your shoes. You even worked with Michael Cera and Chril Lowell and.... Okay, I'll stop now.
I think we should all take a moment and have GIF party in celebration of one of the best actresses of our generation. Happy 23rd Birthday Emma Stone!!!!!
Alright admit it, you love her too!!!
What is your favorite Emma Stone role?
What do you think makes her so awesome?
Oh man, I swear this man just gets cuter by the year. I know he is 30 years older than me, but he is just flipping adorable! I was never a die-hard Karate Kid fan, but it was alright. I did love The Outsiders though. Also, his cameo in Entourage and Psych, complete awesomness. Oh Ralph Macchio I will forever think you are amazing! Happy Birthday!!!
What is your favorite Ralph Macchio role?
This week was much less hectic then the past couple weeks which was nice. But I am definitely ready for this semester to be over. Just another 2 weeks until Thanksgiving break! Hope all of your weeks have been going good!
As everyone knows Buzznet is one of the best websites for music lovers. With all the latest info and great concert photos. It really is amazing. I thought I'd share some of my favorite bands. As all of you have seen through most of my other blogs I'm very into pop-culture therefore I pretty much always keep up with things that are popular. Which is great when it comes to pop and rap/hip-hop music. But when it comes to rock and such I feel like I'm such a mainstreamer. So, I'm sorry if it seems like I'm a loser, but I only know the music I'm exposed to. I am so sheltered. I'm always open to suggestions and hearing new music, so please introduce me to some cool bands! In the meantime here are some bands that I love!
They are very interesting. I love the mix of Marc's sweet voice with Tyler rapping. It's funny that I found out about them because they performed on the homcoming episode of Pretty Little Liars. And I was like, "Who are they? I have to find out!" Best part if you don't know about them? All their songs are streaming on YouTube for free, if you aren't sure if you want to buy it. Plus, if you like them on Facebook, you can download 3 of their songs free! And they just released another on Twitter. Get it here! Here is the song that got me hooked!
Kings of Leon
I remember the first time I heard about them I was a senior in high school. At first I was like mehh everyone is listening to them, I don't want to be a bandwagoner. But then I went and listened to their album and was like LOVE. So, call me a bandwagoner, I don't even care. They are amazing! I absolutely love their Only by Night album. Especially the songs 'Closer', 'Manhattan', 'Notion', and 'Revelry'. By the end of the year I am going to go and listen to all their old albums!
They were definitely my first favorite band. A lot like 2AM Club I loved the clash between Chester and Mike, with the rock and rap. I love that mix. Oh Mike, I was completely obsessed for quite a while <3. Anyway, I love how they are constantly changing and yet remaining so true to them. Hybrid Theory and Meteora are my favorite albums from them. And you know I can't not express my love for the Collision Course album with Jay-Z, complete epicness! By far one of my favorite collaborations.
Ever since 'Harder to Breathe', I was hooked. To this day that is still my favorite song, I love the entire Songs About Jane album. Definitely my favorite album they have put out to date. As much as Adam Levine hasn't been my favorite person this past year, just because he is everywhere I look, naked, I still am obsessed with his voice. It is so unique and amazing. Also, James Valentine <3
Mumford and Sons
One of my best friends told me about them last year. I remember we were in the car and she was like you have to hear this song it is so funny, it's called 'Little Lion Man'. And I was like well that is one of the coolest titles ever. And as we were driving back home, what came on? My love for them has only gotten bigger and bigger ever since. If you haven't watched this interview, watch it. I want them to be my best friends.
Why did I put them together? Because together they were my first concert EVER! It was amazing! I was living at college and there was a venue literally up the street and my friend and I would always look to see if they had people coming that we had actually heard of. When we saw they were coming we were like WE MUST GO! It was funny though cause we only knew 'She is Love' from Parachute, so the entire day we just listened to their CD, which is amazing. And thanks to Kyle XY, I knew one song from SafetySuit called 'Anywhere But Here'. The concert was amazing, if you ever get the chance go! The concert was only $12, I just went to see Parachute again, as many of you know, and it was only that much again. Plus, go listen to their albums Losing Sleep(Parachute) and Life Let Go(SafetySuit).
Sorry for the extremely long post! I just love my music.
Who are your favorite bands?! Why do you love them?
Let me know below! :)
Next Week: Friday Favorites: Bands Part 2!
Just the other day Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill had a little Twitter war to see who would have the most followers. The whole point was to get the trailer for the movie remake of 21 Jump Street out. Regardless, the trailer was going to come out, but just for the hell of it Jonah won. They both tweeted out links to the trailer and here it is:
Alright, so I have some concerns. This remake doesn't really feel like the TV series at all. I mean I suppose it's not meant to, but I just find that a bit odd. I really enjoyed the show, if you haven't seen it the entire series is on Hulu, for free! Go check it out, Johnny Depp when I actually like him. Also, I don't know how I feel about Ice Cube as the Captain and all his pop-culture references. The show had humor for sure, but not like this. Do you think this is what the show would have been like if it was made today? It's a possibility. I was uber excited for this because as I've mentioned in many previous blogs I <3 Dave Franco is in it. This is one of his first legit roles, he was actually in the trailer! But, he is always playing a douchebag. I'm just glad he's in it, I guess. Brie Larson (U.S. of Tara) and Johnny Simmons (Scott Pilgrim), who I love. Did you guys catch the cameo of Holly Robinson Peete, from the original? That was nice! Can't wait to see Depp's cameo. I hope Channing and Jonah can pull off the awesome bromance like Hanson and Penhall!
What do you guys think about the trailer? Will you go see it in theaters?
Were you a fan of the original show?
Let me know below!
Mumford and Sons, one of my favorite bands out right now, stopped by a radio station, radio 104.5, in Philly(yay) the other day and chatted a bit. This is one of my favorite radio stations During the interview, Wendy, asks them about the possibility of a collaboration with Adele. Ben talks about how it had come up, but it didn't work out. And Marcus agrees its a possibility, but their are no plans for it. Which means, we can still dream! The band also talk about their album and go into a cute fanmode talking about Blink 182. They performed their new song which may or may not be called "Ghosts" which is 'almost as good as Blink 182's Ghost'. Aren't they adorable?
Would you guys want to here a Mumford/Adele Collabo? How about one with Blink 182?
What did you think of their new song?
Do you think it should be called 'Ghosts' or 'Ghosts That We Knew'?
