Now that summer is in full effect, well for me anywhos, I've been getting back into my reading groove. Which is a very slow groove, cause I'm a bit illiterate, but you know, I still try. I thought I'd share what I've read, what I'm currently reading, and what I have yet to get to. And then you can share what your summer reading list is!
The Fault in Our Stars - John Green
Yes, I know major bandwagoner, leave me alone. I did really enjoy this book! The characters are fantastic, and I really love the voice of the characters. You know what I mean? I tried to explain it to my friends and they kinda just looked at me like, oh okay. But the characters talk like I would talk, which made it a lot quicker to read. The end I was a bit meh about, not the major end that everyone is like dying over, but the actual like end end. I thought it was major anti-climatic, and I would liked to have had more closure... But, I would seriously recommend it. And I can't wait to read more of his books!
It's Kind of a Funny Story - Ned Vizzini
I've been wanting to read this for SO long now, I have no idea why I haven't. I really enjoyed it. It reminded me a lot of Perks of Being a Wallflower with a slight touch of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. I especially loved the end! Definitely recommend this book!
City of Bones - Cassandra Clare
I'm struggling through this one. My cousin is obsessed with this series and claimed it was better than The Hunger Games. I think she crayyy. This is not even close to THG. Not that I'm very far in the book, I'm just so not interested that it's taking me FOREVER. If any of you have read them, please tell me it picks up. I think I'm just over the fantasy books or something, you know? I'm tired of the vampire/demon things. That could be it. I'll let you know how I feel after I'm finished.
