Hey guys! I am finally done school for the semester! Woot woot, partayyy! I'm so excited! I get next week off and then summer class, here I come! Anyways, I've been slacking on posts cause school got major busy at the end of the semester. Cause professors just love cramming everything at the end, thank you for that. But not.
I've actually seen a handful of movies since my last post, so I thought I'd some them all up for you now!
Admission - The majority of it, I really enjoyed. Tina Fey and Paul Rudd are quite a cute pairing, and well they are too funny. It's about Tina Fey trying to get to know this kid who she thinks is her son she gave up for adoption. And by far the best part of the movie was the kid. Normally, when I see someone I recognize, I can figure it out in some time. But the kid looked familiar, and I just couldn't figure it out, so eventually I just IMDB'd him. It's Nat Wolff, WHAT?! You know, the kid from The Naked Brothers Band. When do these people grow up? My mind was seriously blown. Anywhos, he was a major cutie in the movie. The end was a bit disappointing, but overall not bad. C
The Call - It was so cheesy, majorly. It gets a bit creepy at the end, but for the most part, especially everything with Halle Berry is awful. I have to say that I'm loving growp up Abigail Breslin though, she was pretty kick-ass in the movie! If you want like a lame cheesy thriller just to pass time, give it a go, otherwise don't. Definitely don't pay to watch this one. D-
The Croods - First animated movie in forever! It was okay, but I am just bias with animated movies. Definitely not my favorite, but it had its moments. The end was a bit scary, I mean I would have been scared if I was a child. Anywhos, Belt and Dug were adorable. They totally stole the movie. C-
Emperor - I'm a huge WWII movie buff, and I just couldn't with this movie. It is the second movie I have ever walked out of. It did not even focus on the war, but a love story. And it was incredibly boring. Don't even bother with movie, even if you are a war movie fan. F
The Heat - My friend and I went to an advance screening, and let me tell you, the crowd you watch a movie with really makes the movie better or worse. Most of the time, there is either not many people at the movie with us, or everyone is just dead silent and have no reactions. Meanwhile, my friends and I are just cracking up at either how stupid it is, or because it's actually funny. When we saw this, everyone was having a good time, which made the movie so much better. It was a bit predictable, but Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy are a great pairing! They are both hilarious on their own, so you know they can only be better together. And I was so excited about a new Sandy movie! It reminded me a bit of Miss Congeniality, but I love that, so I didn't mind too much. Definitely a fun movie for the summer! B-
The Place Beyond the Pines - Apparently I was supposed to know that RyGos and Bradley Cooper only had one scene together in the movie. But that went right over my head, so of course when I watched the movie, I was all like 'what is this nonsense?!' Usually when a movie is not what I expect, it's like 'woah, I didn't see that coming', but in a good way. That wasn't this movie. I was rather irritated by it all. Without giving too much away, it is basically three seperate storylines intertwined together. It was just a lot, but not enough focus on one specific story. I was very excited about this one, and just not satisfied. I couldn't stand the kid who played Bradley's son, ugh just thinking about him bothers me. I do love the guy who plays RyGos's son, the baby and grown version! Kind of like Spring Breakers, my friends and I did have some good laughs. Best part of the movie is learning that RyGos is a baby whisperer, literally he picks up the crying baby and the baby just settles down and snuggles right onto him and falls asleep. Magic. Seriously though, why put those two amazing men in a movie together, and then not have them actually act together! It was supposed to be a bromance!! C-
Spring Breakers - SPRAANG BRAEAAK. Forever seared into my brain. Along with James Franco looking like a mad weirdo, I need it all erased. By far one of the WORST movies I've ever seen. I understand all the people in the movie had people all hyped up, but I do not understand how anyone walked out of that movie thinking it was good. Somehow the movie got decent reviews, becasue it was 'artsy', wtf? It was awful, beginning to end. Nothing made sense or had a plot, it was literally just people being stupid. And rather embarressing to watch all of them be so creepy and gross. Hilarious, for sure, but not good. I will never understand. F
Major catch-up right? It's been a while, I know.
What movies have you seen in the past couple months?
