Heath Ledger: Only The Good Die Young
I cannot believe it's been five years today, since the wonderful, talented Heath Ledger passed away. He was and will always be one of my favorite actors of all time. It is so sad to know that we will never be graced with his talent again, but that does not mean we will forget him. He has been in so many fantastic movies that he will live on forever. To honor him, I want to share my top five favorite performances of his.
Brokeback Mountain
There are a few films of his I still have to watch. I've been dying to see Monster Ball and Ned Kelly. Also, I still have to watch The Patriot fully through. But since I haven't seen those, I have to go with Brokeback. Definitely not my favorite movie, but you cannot deny the emotion Heath brings to the movie. His voice was hilarious, but he gave a fantastic performance none-the-less.

The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus
This part was so weird and out there, which I think was perfect for him. I think he loved doing these roles that were interesting and fun, that brought him to another world. Plus, I just love that he got to work with Andrew Garfield. This film also shows what an impact he had on the industry, that people were ready to step in for him and dedicated their paycheck to his daughter. He will always be remembered.
A Knight's Tale
This movie, I love it. Seeing him in all his armor was good enough for me. But it was actually funny and adorable. He was so young in this movie and so enthusiastic, so lovely.

Classic. Everything about this movie is fantastic. It's so 90s and the cast was absolutely amazing. This is one of my favorites. I have seen this movie so many times, it's kind of ridiculous, yet pretty awesome. You can't deny he is the dreamiest 90s movie star. I mean, Patrick Verona was just everything and more. When he sings to Kat on the field, I just melt. He is perfect, in every way.
This is obviously not a surprise. May sound extreme, but I don't think there has ever been a performance that has made such an impact on me as his as The Joker. You all know I'm Batman obsessed, and I always loved Batman. But it wasn't until his performance that it became a full-on obsession. I can literally quote this movie line-for-line. Just how deep he went into that character and how different his performance was from anything we had seen before. I honestly believe it is one of the best performances ever, by anyone. He was so dark and yet hilarious as a joker should be. In all of his movies, you can really tell how serious he takes his job and just how much he loves it by giving his all to every performance. This is simply a performance that can never be topped.

RIP Heath Ledger. You will always be missed and loved. You will never be forgotten.
