Friday Favorites: TV Pilot Preview 2012
Almost didn't make it! I've been so busy with school and work, I keep running out of time for everything! I've been working really hard on my interview, which I just posted, a bit late, but it's finally up. I'd love if you guys checked it out, right HERE!
Anywhos, this past week I noticed how Hulu had some early previews of a couple pilots and of course I was all over that. So I thought I'd share my thoughts on them with you. If you haven't seen the episodes yet, go over to Hulu and check them out. They have seen The Mindy Project, Ben & Kate and The New Normal. It's FREE! You have no excuse! So, here are my thoughts...
The Mindy Project
As an Indian person, I often do not like fellow Indian people, but I LOVE Mindy Kaling. She is one of the very few exceptions. Probably, cause she is even whiter on the inside than I am. She's pretty cool. The pilot was so-so. It has a lot of potential, but needs to find it's groove. I love the pop-culture references, like Michael Fassbender's private parts. But, it was very predictable and a bit annoying. I wish her character was a bit more put together, I mean she is a doctor. Hopefully, it was just the pilot. Cause pilots can be way off of what the real show ends up like. I need to see a few more episodes before I'm on board.

Ben & Kate
I actually thought the pilot was cute. I don't know how long the show will stay on and how it will be recieved, but I think I'll definitely check it out. Ben is adorkable and Kate is relatable and her daughter is a freakin cutie pie. I'm not quite sure where the show is going, but I'm interested in finding out. Plus, there was a guy in the pilot who she's dating, he was HOT. I hope he's in the rest of the season.
The New Normal
This show has gotten so much heat, but it's solid. There are always people who are going to be rude and ignorant about different people and their lifestyles, but the truth is, people are going to be who they are. And they should be able to without others judging them. This show is a great step forward. It's a comedy, but with Goldie's grandma we see different perspectives, which makes the show even better. I enjoyed this pilot a lot. Mainly because, I know I will get to see Justin Bartha's face on a weekly basis. SCORE!

Have you checked out these shows yet?
Which are you looking forward to seeing?
