I'm Back!!!
Hey Buzzneters!
Well I posted a few photos from what I missed a little bit ago. I gots to catch up with the rest of my photo challenge. I shall upload those after this. Anywhos, I've been in Houston for the past 10 days I believe. It was a pretty fun trip, this will be a rather lengthy post. You don't have to read it, just letting you guys know what I've been up to.
I know the last BSTA was about a day in your life without photos... So how bout I make this week in the life? Even though I'll probably post a photo diary soon...
So.. It all started when I got on the plane and arrived at Houston.... Early! I went to Houston with my aunt, uncle, cousin and his wife and kids. I love plane rides! I got it the way there, but not the way back :P We got to our hotel and it was nice. The bed was super comfy! We went there cause my cousin is a part of this organization called Fokana, which is an Indian thing for our type of Indian. I am Malayalee, so it was a thing for all of them to gather together. I went to the one last year in New York and was bored out of my mind. So, I knew what to expect, but my mom's side of the family lives in Houston so my mom had me go so I could get to see them. And I saw them like the whole time except a bit while the program thing was going on.
During the Fokana thing, I missed everything that was actually worth watching and ended up going to all the boring things. For example, I missed the magician... But I was there to watch literally 4 hours of classical Indian dances, which I am not a fan of. I had my cousins come for a couple things, but they came for the lame ones too, so I felt kinda bad. I got so much quality time with my baby though, so it was worth it for that. Her name is Gabriella, I posted a pic with her a while back. She is such a cutie, and such a good baby. She only cries when she's hungry or sleepy. Otherwise she's fine and all smiley, we are like besties now :D They left after Fokana was over, and I went to stay with my family for a few extra days.
I got lots of good quality time with my cousins, specially my two girls who are my age. One is a year younger and the other a year older. We ate A LOT! I'm so surprised I haven't exploded yet haha. Everything was so yummy too. My younger cousin is obsessed with chocolate. And I know.. You are all thinking, 'you are obsessed with chocolate', yess and all other sweets too. So, you know we went into a SUGAR COMA. Man, they have a place called The Chocolate Bar. Cakes and candy and ice cream. We had the cakes, they were sooo good and soo chocolatey. I told you guys about seeing Magic Mike with them... Mistake watching with them, but worth it just to see it. We also saw Spider-Man on Saturday and we all LOVED it. I mean who can deny Andrew Garfield?! He's freaking adorable. We went to a museum where we saw the dinosaur exhibits I posted a photo of... Hmm. We went to see this thing called Water Wall, it was sooo pretty. We took pics there, I'll post one from there some time. Did I mention we ate a lot? I watched my like 8th Hindi movie, it's like a must when I go there... I watched one with them the last 2 times I went. We actually watched 2. There was one we went to a theater and saw, and it was SO stupid. The other we watched at home and it was so good, I found my latest obsession. I've never had an Indian obsession before, haah they are normally always American.
I love that I ended up talking about movies, as usual. Anyway, I was always busy, which was so nice. I love being busy. I also got to meet some new members of the family. Some of my cousins had more kids, and they are SOO cute! I got to spend half a day with one of them, and he is beyond adorable. His name is Jayden. I told my cousin I wanted to bring him back with me. He's a lot like our Gabby, who I mentioned earlier. He is such a happy baby, only cries when he's sleepy or hungry. Then there is my other cousins daughter Hannah, she is such a diva. She was just so funny. I was so happy they were so good with meeting new people. I just love babies! And my other cousin is pregnant now, so I'll have to go back to see her baby!
This post is SO long. Hmm, I'm sure I could go on... But overall, I can say I had a nice time. The days went by so fast since I was busy. But I know we got to do a lot so it was totally worth it. Now I'm back home with nothing to do... Tomorrow begins my job hunt!
You'll ♥
