One of my favorite shows is finally coming back! I cannot believe I haven't seen my boys in a year. Suits started last summer and became an instant hit, USA really knows how to make a good bromance. I say this all the time, but really, I need to get in on that network. This is one of the few shows, much like Psych, that all my friends actually like when I make them watch it. If you haven't seen an episode, shame on you. The pilot was free everywhere when it came out, so if you haven't even seen that, I'm disappointed. The brand new 2nd season starts up tonight at 10pm on USA. Now, I'm going to give you 5 reason to make you watch this show.
1. It's Smart
Why does that matter? Well, often there are characters who have big egos, but are really dumb and annoying. Harvey Specter, played by the gorgeousGabriel Macht has a very large ego, but he is very good at what he does, very good. Oh and he is brilliant, not annoying. And hot, that helps too. Plus, Mike Ross played by Patrick J. Adams is a super-genius. The cases are always interesting to watch unfold.
2. The Mystery
No this is not a detective show, it's about lawyers, no mysteries. I mean the characters are a mystery. We have gotten to see a lot of Mike's personal life, but not too much of Harvey Spector. Which has me continually wondering what has made him the way he is. Obviously, the brilliant writers have done this on purpose, but they do it in a way you want to know more. And boy do I. If you watch the show, I cannot wait to see how they explain the can opener.
3. Movie References
Absolutely love when shows and movies reference other shows and movies. It is one of the main reasons I love Psych and loved Gilmore Girls. On Suits they do it so effortlessy and it always works! Everything from Star Wars to Goodfellas. It's fantastic. Especially in scenes when Mike and Harvey are trying to out-do the other, so funny!
4. Strong Female Characters
Yes, I mainly love this show for the bromance, but it wouldn't be half as awesome without the females in the show. The lawfirm that they work for is called Pearson Hardman, the Pearson for boss Jessica Pearson. The fact that these men work for a women is a nice change. Then there is Donna, probably my favorite character on the show. She is Harvey's assistant, but is by no means working under him, they are a team. She is witty and sarcastic and completely amazing. And of course Rachel, who is destined to be with Mike, is quite smart herself. She is a paralegal, but has what it takes to be a lawyer.
5. Major Bromancing
Come on now, this show wouldn't work if the dynamic between Mike & Harvey wasn't amazing. And well it is, they will go down in history as one of my favorite bromances. Right next to all those who were on my list, actually I think they were on that list. Anyways, it is so nice to see how they have each others backs even though they know so little about each other. They trust each others smarts and are constantly surprising each other. It is quite adorable to watch them. I love them, that should be enough of a reason for you to watch. If all that didn't get you hooked, look how pretty they are.
At the peak of Blink-182’s fame, Tom DeLonge had a lot of ideas kicking through his head. At a tour stop in Paris, sitting his hotel room, the singer came up with the concept of a character named Poet Anderson. Now, nearly 15 years later, he’s ready to incorporate that idea into a much larger and ambitious project with Angels & Airwaves than he’s ever attempted before.
