Friday Favorites: Movie Catch-Up
This isn't a FF on new movies that came out this month - that will be next week since I still have another week to squeeze in some movies... and you bet I will! I watched a bunch of movies this past month that I had not seen before, but wanted to check out. Some are kinda old, some are newer, some were good, some were lame. I have no life, I know this. Don't judge, just appreciate. I don't what the hell I'm talking about.
Bridesmaids
I shouldn't have waited so long to see this movie... I think it ruined it for me. Everyone raved about and said how hilarious it was, but I was kind of disappointed. Definitely not my favorite movie, but it wasn't horrible either. I'm glad I saw it. It was cute. The cop guy was super adorables. Melissa McCarthy is major awesome. I loved the scene where she was driving the van with all the puppies!
Rio
I watched this last night! First of all, I love animated movies. There are very few that have done wrong by me. This movie was SO cute! I love Jesse Eisenberg and his voice was just perfection for Blue. It was so colorful and fun. The movie was so funny and adorable. I really enjoyed it! I want a stuffed Blue!

Like Crazy
So, I don't know why I wanted to see this movie... I mean Anton Yelchin is a cutie, but I knew it was going to be a romantic movie. But I had been saying for a while that I wanted to see it, probably cause it got so many great reviews from the festivals. Well, I really didn't like it. There was so little dialgue, and it moved so fast, yet the movie was long. Honestly, I didn't get the point at all. If you are a romantic, give it a shot, maybe you will like it.
Scott Pilgrim
This movie came out so long ago! I had always wanted to see it, but then I just thought it would be weird and so I didn't watch it. Finally, I gave it a shot, and I liked it a lot! Much more than I expected. Can we just talk about the cast? Michael Cera, Brie Larson, Mae Whitman, Chris Evans, Johnny Simmons, and MORE! Seriously, everyone in the movie was awesomeness, and the movie was pretty good. It was different, but in a good way.

The Losers
I was on a Chris Evans kick this month, surprise surprise. He was adorable in the movie, but the movie was majorly stupid. It had the potential to be a really cool action movie, but it missed all its marks. Totally not worth it. Except for Evans' scenes, like this.

The Town
Another movie I waited so long to see! I really enjoyed the movie! It's a lot like most movies of this genre, but the characters make it stand out. Ben Affleck's character Doug is the brains behind the bank robberies and he is trying to find a way out and get away from that life. There is also an interesting love story, of course. It was very well written. The only problem I had with it was Blake Lively. Note to Hollywood, never let her do accents, ever!
What's You Number
Chris Evans, mmphh! I actually kick started my Chris Evans marathon with this movie. As by now you know, I hate sappy romantic movies. I do however LOVE chick-flicks/rom-coms, most of the time anyway. This was so funny and cute. From the previews I thought it would be stupid, but I really liked it. There are some great people in the movie. Andy Samberg, David Annable, Aziz Ansari's voice, and of course the adorable Anna Faris, among others. It didn't try to hard, which I think is why I liked it so much.
