Friday Favorites: The Hunger Games
Oh hi there stranger, I'm Michelle and I LURVE THE HUNGER GAMES. Just an FYI. It's been over a year now that I've been obsessing over these books and since then I've gotten the majority of my friends to read them. Cause it's one of the best book series EVER! If for some strange reason you don't believe my complete and utter obsession, just go look here, or here, or here, or here. Satisified? Seriously, I've never been into any book series like this and each week I get more and more excited about the movie! Just the other day they released a new trailer, which I am totally loving!
Just a heads up: when it's closer to the movie, expect a million and a half posts. I may even just do some kind of a countdown. For today though, I thought I would tell you a few things about the new trailer and franchise that are getting me more and more excited to see the movie. Oh and a few things I'm not too pleased about. Hey, I'm just saying.
Cato
I love that they put Cato in this trailer because he is one of the more important tributes. And it's nice that they aren't just trying to show Katniss, Peeta, and Gale down our throats. The other tributes make the story as well!

Stanley Tucci is SO Blue
I'm rather excited about Stanley Tucci, cause he's fabulous. But that blue color is hideous. I mean I know it's supposed to be blue, but that much, uh no. You can't really tell in this shot, but in the trailer, oh my. And his eyebrows, I can't even. Every time he comes on the screen I'm going to die. But I love this shot of her in her first outift. Such a great scene.

Cinna and Katniss
As I've expressed numerous times, I can't imagine Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss. However, I'm warming up to her. I'm really trying. I do think she's a good actress, so I'm hoping her chops shine through. Cinna is one of my favorite characters, aside from Katniss and Peeta of course. This still is just so beautiful and sweet that makes me believe that I will like Lenny Kravitz as Cinna.

Mockingjay Pin
I'm SO upset that they completely erased Madge from the entire movie. Yeah, that's right no Madge. What the crap? But they explain at the very beginning of the trailer where the Mockingjay pin comes from. I suppose since there is no Madge, this is the best way. But it seems a tad bit cliche, as random as Madge was, her giving the pin was her role which made her important.

The Capitol
I think they have done a great job creating the Capitol. Especially, since we know it was a pretty low-budget film they did a wonderful job. It looks beautiful and futuristic and amazing.

Peeta
Oh Peeta, I lurve you. JHutch, you got this.
"No, when the time comes, I'm sure I'll kill just like everybody else. I can't go down without a fight. Only I keep wishing I could think of a way to... to should the Capitol they don't own me. That I'm more than just a piece in their Games," says Peeta. -page 142
This was one of my favorite scenes in the book, I was surprised they put it in the trailer, but I'm glad they did. Because Josh did a great job.

Merchandise
They have started selling Hunger Games gear! I am so excited! They have stuff at Hot Topic and over at Hollywood Video. I'm all over this t-shirt.

Well that was a bit longer than I expected. Don't say I didn't warn you though, I am OBSESSED. Anyways... I'd love to hear what you guys think!
What are you liking from all the trailers?
Which scenes are you looking forward to seeing on the big-screen?
