10 Best Teen Drama and Comedies of All Time

Since school is just around the corner I was thinking back to some of my favorite high school shows.  Even though I'm in college, some of these shows go into college too, man I'm getting old!  So what were your favorite shows growing up?  Do you think the shows these days measure up?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Before Twilight, Vampire Diaries, True Blood, there was Buffy.  A cult classic for sure, and girl kicking ass, that's what I'm talking about. 

Brotherly Love

I love the Lawrence brothers!  This show was funny and had great messages about high school and family.

Dawson's Creek

Oh, don't pretend you didn't watch this show!  Were you Team Dawson or Pacey?  Personally, I always loved Pacey!  

Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

One of my favorites, who likes to break into the Carlton every now and then?

Friday Night Lights

Don't be fooled by this clip that this show is all about football.  Yes, it's the premise of the show that ties everything together, but it so much more than that.  Matt Serecen and Tim Riggens, oh how I will love you forever.  Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose!

Degrassi

Most of you have probably watched Degrassi: The Next Generation, which is awesome!  If you haven't go back and watch Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High!  This show will be on forever, because it is that timeless!

My So-Called Life

Unfortunately, this show only got one season, but now everyone knows how big a mistake it was.  Everyone had a Jordan Catalano, whether or not you actually got him.  These days there has been so much attention on the LGBT community, as though no one has done it before say, Glee.  Just so everyone knows Ricky was the first gay teen on primetime television, and he's amazing!

Freaks & Geeks

If there is any show that produced the most stars, it's this show!  It's funny, real, and so good!  The lengths Lindsay goes just to fit in or the things Sam will do to impress a girl. 

Saved by the Bell

Classic, timeless, hilarious, overall AMAZING!  This clip is pre-Slater/Kelly/Jesse, but this is where it all began.

Boy Meets World

My favorite show of all time. I cannot tell you how much I love this show, I have honestly woken up a few times just to catch it on ABC Family at 7 in the morning.  I don't understand why they won't play it at normal hours of the day.  "They want you to take the rolls."  "Feeny, F-F-F Feeney!"  Classic!
