It was just announced that the host of the 85th Academy Awards will be Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane.  The Oscars has been lacking a good host for some time.  Even though veteran Billy Crystalcame back to reprise his role as host last year, it wasn't as good as his previous runs.  Most are surprised the gig went to MacFarlane, because the job normally goes to bigger names aka A-Listers.  Hopefully MacFarlane will be able to give us an entertaining show.  This will be MacFarlane's first time hosting any award show.  Let's wish him luck!
